Happy Sunday and welcome back! I am very excited to share a few projects I made using the beautiful new digital stamp release by Alex Syberia Design for this blog hop. While I always admired and enjoyed her floral stamps, this time she included some super cute Japanese Kokeshi dolls that are fun to color.
To celebrate this release, Alex is giving away 7 $10 gift certificates. Please leave a comment on each of the participating designers’ blogs/IG accounts in this blog hop by 05/22/2020 for a chance to win. Winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs/IG accounts listed below and will be announced on Alex’s blog on 05/23/2020. Without much ado I will share my project below. But first, I would love for you to check out the new relese by clicking the image below.
I started my doll projects by printing my dolls on Neenah cardstock and cut them out using the Brother Scan n Cut machine. I colored my dolls with copic markers and added few hihlights with a white gel pen. For my projects today, I decided to paint some fun oriental backgrounds for my dolls using watercolors and framed it using dies form Gina Marie Design. Here’s my first card in black white and red. The sentiment is form an Altenew set from my stash.
For my 2nd card, I went with a gradient wash using watercolors and painted some silhouette structures using watercolors. You can always doodle these with a marker of fineliner too. I chose a gray kimono with red flowers for this doll and added a sentiment from a Unity stamp set.
For my 3rd card, I doodles a cherry blossom tree on black cardstock using opaque markers by Recollections. I added some flower embellishments and added a die cut form The Stamp Market for my sentiment.
Finally I couldn’t stop without coloring up the beautiful peony form this release. This one is a copic colored and popped on a dry ebossed panel matted with some pattern paper form Unity. The sentiment is from Rachel Vass Designs.
Thank you for stopping by. I would love to know what you think of my projects today, and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog if you would like to see more of my work. You should have arrived form Colleen Balija‘s blog and the next stop in the hop is Deborah.
